Holy Week is the last week of Lent that follows Jesus' last days to the cross.

We begin with Palm Sunday and proceed with the special Holy Days of Maundy Thursday and Good Friday.  The mood changes during this week to a more intense and focused community prayer life together.  Our worship services are dramatic and the church is decorated with palms.  Special vestments for this week are marked with blood red and black.

On Good Friday, the church is left with only a bare wooden cross, as we contemplate the meaning of Jesus' death on the cross and await the great mystery of his resurrection.

The great and joyous festival of Easter begins on Saturday night at the conclusion of Holy Week and we celebrate Christ's resurrection for the 50 days that follow.

The Great Vigil of Easter is the most dramatic and joyous of all of our worship services and it is followed by traditional Easter Day celebrations with music at both services.  The church is decorated with flowers, candles and white vestments throughout the 50 days, as we listen to the stories of Jesus' appearance to the disciples after his resurrection.

The Holy Day of Ascension occurs on the 40th day in this season.
