|
Sunday school classes meet weekly from mid-September until mid-June. During the program year, this is the Sunday morning schedule:
8:00 am - Holy Eucharist
9:20 am - Adult Forum*
10:20-11:05 am - Sunday School
10:30-11:45 am - Holy Eucharist
Children can be dropped off at their classroom between 10:20 and 10:30. Each classroom has two teachers each week. A light snack (our "Feast") is served towards the end of the class. Teachers will bring children into the sanctuary to join their families at about 11:05. They will arrive in time to take part in the Eucharist.
We welcome new children at Sunday School throughout the year. Please download this enrollment form and bring it with you to the Sunday School teacher on the first Sunday that you bring your child to class.
* If you would like childcare during the Adult Forum, you may bring your child to the nursery.

About Our Curricula Godly Play (Grades K-2) Our younger children participate in Godly Play, a creative and imaginative way of nurturing children in Christian faith and the Episcopal tradition. Grounded in the Montessori tradition of spiritual education, Godly Play teaches children the art of using religious language – parable, sacred story, silence and liturgical action – to help them become more fully aware of the mystery of God's presence in their lives. |

Seasons of the Spirit (Grades 3-5) Our older kids use the Seasons of the Spirit program. This curriculum follows the lectionary, so that children work with the same scriptures that the rest of the congregation is encountering each Sunday. The lessons are story-based and group discussions are always fostered, along with hands-on arts and crafts opportunities and music. |
